As business ombudsmen, The Office of Business Development helps business overcome obstacles sometimes encountered when interacting with government agencies. Each situation is unique and Directors seek individualized solutions, answers, permits, etc. or direct you to appropriate state resources. Access to leadership is what makes this office effective as they work from the top down to solve problems as quickly as possible.
The Office of Business Development interacts daily with business owners, trade associations, affiliated organizations and Chambers of Commerce throughout Wisconsin to ensure business has a seat at the table. They advocate for business interests within government and present rule change recommendations to the appropriate agency or the Legislature.
The office works closely with the Small Business Regulatory Review Board to reduce or remove burdens that laws and rules place on business in Wisconsin.
The success of the office depends on connecting with business owners who need assistance or who offer ideas for regulatory reform of rules that are negatively impacting their business.
